Today I went to "Meditation in the Park" a small event sponsored by KTC Jacksonville, a Tibetan Buddhist Practice center. Two speakers instructed our group on posture techniques and principles of meditation, in accordance with Buddhist philosophy.
The concepts they introduced were quite interesting, among these the idea that there are 9 recognizable stages of "awareness" in meditation. Theses stages ranged from a "waterfall" of thoughts that flood the beginner when trying to meditate to a "calm ocean" that allows the person meditating to have an extremely clear mind. Though provoking in the very least. Also, notice the random dog.
Also there was a "Chihuahua Meet Up" I just had to photograph.
